Celebrating Queer Identities

We often hear of all the hardships queer people have to face to be able to live as their authentic selves. Closeted queer people have to hide away a large chunk of who they are for a significant period of their lives. Those who are out often face discrimination in schools, workplaces and homes. Trans and non-binary people are constantly misgendered or deadnamed.
While there is a long, long way to go for queer people to be completely accepted and treated as equal, there’s still a lot to celebrate! Finally understanding yourself, finding a place within a community that understands and accepts you – there’s a lot of joy in that! We want to host a support group for queer people to discuss not only the obstacles they face, but also all the milestones they celebrate, with other queer people who truly understand and support you!
